Your kids are so bless to have the parents they have. My daddy passed away when I was 6 years old and my brother Daniel was one year old, mom still in nursing school in the city, so my mom parents step in and take us in,we can a lot ,from our small garden and from farmers market, not a lot off gadgets in the kitchen in that time. Hi Steph! LOVE your gardening content! Sometimes the bottom tomato rot is actually blossom end rot. Some contributing factors can be under pollination, inconsistent watering and/or just not enough water during the critical time for blooming/pollination. Extra water helps nutrients (like the calcium) to allow the plants to put their full energy into setting the blooms and also helps maintain soil temperatures if you're experiencing big fluctuations overnight (Something that nightshade are notorious for being finicky about!).

We’re harvesting all kinds of peppers, asparagus beans, cucumbers, and chocolate cherry tomatoes so far, and a few creole tomatoes, but those never have a chance to turn red because we love fried green tomatoes. I’m in zone 7a ozark mountains. Also, Your family is picture perfect, and you do everything with so much class and grace. I like to freeze dry things like kale and bitter plums. I use the powder in my smoothies. We've done dairy products to make our own powdered dairy items as well. Just nice to have on hand

I live in north Florida so I have done all my fruits of summer. Jams, jellies, syrups and pie fillings as well. I've finished my tomatoes and tomato based products. Working on last minute pickles and pickled vegetables like okra and peppers. Still getting acre peas and other peas and beans. I just love to put away my canned items and see it all full and ready for the winter.

Hi Steph! Love your videos!! When I plant my tomatoes I drop a cracked egg and a big handful of bone meal in the whole before putting the tomato plant in. As the tomato grows just make sure they get enough water during blossom and fruit development. Sometime it's not that there is not enough calcium in the soil but rather that there wasn't enough water to deliver the needed nutrients to the tomatoes developing on the vine. This year was kind of drier than usual and some of us had a drought. Blossom end rot is most often caused by not enough water or nutrients at that critical time.

May I respectfully ask why you are breeding dogs? With a world full to the rim with shelters bursting with unwanted dogs, cats, rabbits etc… Will you be keeping all of them, giving them away, selling them? Just wondering!

Yes we are also gardening. Harvesting and Canning over 500pounds of organic tomatoes. Unfortunately, I myself am away for the fun, my aunt and dad did most of the canning and I don’t have any footage. But, they froze a bunch of tomatoes and plums for me to can and make wonderful things with them. So I’m pretty sure I will have a couple of videos up in the fall. Oh I love fall ❤ and I enjoy your videos.
